The Palo Alto Historical Association holds general meetings seven times a year. They are held the first Sunday of the month (October-December, February-May) at 2 p.m. at the Lucie Stern Community Center, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The meetings include a speaker or speakers on local history. The programs are free and open to the public.

The general meetings are videotaped. The videotapes are available at the Main Library. To check one out, see Historian Steve Staiger at the History Desk at the Main Library (Tuesday evenings 6 to 9 p.m. or Thursday afternoons 2 to 5 p.m.).
